Kedric Barton Bachmann

Died: March 31, 2012

U.S. VeteranKedric B. Bachmann, 82, Joplin, died at 6:10 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012, at a Joplin nursing home after an illness.

Kedric was born April 21, 1929, in Redlands, Calif., to the late Barton Bachmann and Janet Edith Abernethy Bachmann and had lived in Joplin since 2004, moving from Riverside, Calif.

He worked in the sales department of King Bearing for 30 years in
California. Following retirement, he worked part-time at Radio Shack in Riverside, referring to it as a "toy store".

Ked loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping and traveling. He was a gifted musician. He played trombone and was a member of the Riverside Symphony Orchestra. He also played at church and with the National Guard Band. He was a faithful member of Faith abernacle in Joplin. Ked was a
proud veteran of the U.S. National Guard, serving in Korea.
He married Grace Anne Beach on Oct. 25, 1968, in Riverside. She survives of the home.

Additional survivors include a daughter, Sarah Kirby, and her husband, Joseph, Stafford, Va.; a son, Paul Bachmann, and his wife, Jennifer, Linthicum Heights, Md.; two stepdaughters, Anne Brown, and her husband, Rich, Joplin, and Susan McDonald, and her husband, Virgil, Crane, Mo.; a
sister, Anne Pringle, and her husband, Maj. Gen. Ret. Andrew Pringle, Freeland, Wash; grandchildren, Garrett Kirby, Laura Bachmann, Nichole Bachmann, Emilie Bachmann, Madelin Bachmann, Andrew Bachmann, Haley
Bachmann, Erik Brown, Brett Brown, John McDonald, Katie McDonald, Meghan McDonald, Ethan McDonald and Evan McDonald; and three great grandchildren, Keller, Jaxon and Kaelie.

Memorial services are planned for 4 p.m. Tuesday at Parker Mortuary
Chapel. The family will receive friends following the services at the mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson’s Research Fund, in care of Parker Mortuary.
