Video Tribute for Apple and Android

Patricia Ann Johnson, age 83, of Joplin, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 13, 2013 after a brief illness.

Pat was born on February 7, 1930 to Dorothy and Ray Chesnutt in Joplin.

She married John V. Johnson on June 10, 1950 at St. Mary’s Church in Pierce City, Missouri. They were the loving and caring parents of three children. John preceded her in death on October 16, 2006.

Pat was a long time member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Joplin. In her younger years, Patsy was accomplished in ballet, later teaching dance for many years. After completion of her studies at Joplin High School and Joplin Junior College, she had a long and successful career as a paralegal and real estate broker.

Survivors include her brother, Tommy Chesnutt of Ponca City, Oklahoma; a sister, Linda Davis of Austin, Texas; daughter, Libby Molisak and husband Bill of Joplin; sons, Mark Johnson of Joplin, and Mike Johnson and wife Meridith also of Joplin; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral mass will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in Thornhill-Dillon Chapel due to the temporary closure of St. Peter’s for a construction project. Father J. Freidel will officiate.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
